Lenovo

My work at Lenovo has two sides: shipping Smart Connect, and imagining what AI could do next.

UI/UX Design

Cross-device + AI

Overview

Innovating smarter experience

I’m a UI/UX designer on Lenovo’s Strategic Design & Innovation team. I own part of Smart Connect 3.0, the app that links phones, tablets and PCs, and I explore what AI can do across devices. Here’s a look at the work.

Proofs of concept for future devices

Alongside product work, I design AI experiences that show where Lenovo devices could go next. This work was released at IFA 2026 and led to 3 provisional patents that name me as an inventor. More AI concept work is coming soon.

Smart Canvas

Imagining AI built for creative work, across every device

A cross-device workflow concept released at IFA 2026 during Lenovo Innovation World in Berlin. I designed it with 2 other designers. Our AI work led to 3 provisional patents that name me as an inventor.

What I did

01

Designed AI interaction models across voice, gesture, stylus, camera vision and predictive behavior.

02

Made the UI/UX for Lenovo’s AI concept video demos, which helped align teams and leadership on product direction.

03

Named as an inventor on 3 provisional patents for AI UX concepts.

Smart Connect

Cross-device connectivity

I design how 9M+ people move between their Lenovo devices

Smart Connect links phones, tablets and PCs for 9M+ monthly users, and our team’s work won an iF Design Award 2026. These case studies show how I design features people rely on every day.

Tap to Launch

One tap from phone to PC

Tap to Launch is part of Smart Connect 3.0, which connects phone, tablet and PC for 9M+ monthly users. Our team’s work won an iF Design Award 2026. I drove the UX that got several orgs aligned on one simple tap.

What I did

01

Drove the UX for a feature that spanned several orgs, platforms and devices.

02

Mapped education flows so every team worked from the same picture.

03

Shipped in Smart Connect 3.0. Most users found it easy and efficient.

Foldable

Designing Smart Connect for a phone that folds

For Smart Connect 3.1, I owned the UX for a new Motorola foldable. Unfolded, the phone gets a tablet-sized screen, which brought 2 new problems: people getting lost between companion apps, and showing what happens mid-fold.

What I did

01

Owned the Smart Connect UX for the foldable, from the unfolded layout to the companion app flow.

02

Explored 3 ways to handle companion apps, then refined the one that kept people oriented.

03

Prototyped the fold and unfold states. 18 of 19 users said the transition felt smooth.
